In The News Mobile Surgical Training Center Comes to Central Valley Medtronic Sofamor Danek, Alexander A. Davis, M.D., and Stanislaus Surgical Hospital have collaborated to bring the latest technology in spine surgery to the Central Valley. Neurosurgeons, orthopedic spine surgeons, and other medical professionals with particular interest in spinal surgery have been invited to participate in a unique surgical training experience. Medtronic Sofamor Danek's mobile, satellite training center, which is equipped with an on-site cadaveric lab and Medtronic's latest technology, will be on-site at Stanislaus Surgical Hospital March 24-25, 2004. The training schedule includes morning sessions for surgical assistants and afternoon/evening sessions for surgeons. Each session for surgeons includes a lecture and hands-on lab. March 24th Kee Kim, M.D. of U.C. Davis will present the following topics for surgeons: Posterior Cervical
Trauma Thoracolumbar Sextant March 25th George Picetti, M.D. will present these topics for surgeons: MAST
METRx-X-Tube PLIF TLIF March 25th Alexander A. Davis, M.D. will serve as moderator for the complex case review session, which will follow the lecture and lab sessions presented by Dr. Picetti. Participating surgeons should bring a complex case for presentation and discussion. Surgeons and surgical assistants desiring to attend must pre-register, as space is limited.
