What type of physician is Dr. Davis?
Dr. Davis is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who has advanced training and experience in spinal surgery. Dr. Davis has devoted his practice almost exclusively to the spine and its surgically treatable maladies.
Does Dr. Davis do pain management?
Post operative pain management is generally done by Dr. Davis. However, patients with chronic pain problems are best treated by a pain specialist. Dr. Davis will encourage those patients to seek consultation and treatment for their pain with a pain specialist in those circumstances.
Will Dr. Davis become my primary treating physician?
Dr. Davis will become the primary treating physician for the spinal disorder in patients on whom he has performed surgery, usually for a period of ninety days after surgery. He will also become the primary treating physician for certain non-operative spine conditions, such as teenagers with scoliosis and patients with spinal fractures requiring brace management. Dr. Davis will remain the consulting physician for most other patients.
Does Dr. Davis fill out disability papers and other insurance forms?
Yes, in most circumstances. There may be additional charges over and above the charges for medical care.
Does Dr. Davis do IME, QME or Functional Capacity Examinations?
Dr. Davis will do IME examinations and IME medical record reviews
for attorneys of either party. Allow four to six weeks turn-around
time, unless "urgent request" is acknowledged in advance. For a
fee schedule please call the office or send a request by fax or
regular mail.
Currently, Dr. Davis does not perform QME examinations or functional
capacity assessments.
